HubSpot contracts
Yes, HubSpot can handle amendments and renewals
HubSpot Contracts can carry the contract lifecycle. Quotivity handles advanced quoting inside HubSpot, so you do not give up renewals, amendments, or prorations when you move to stronger quoting guardrails.
Short answer · Yes · Contract lifecycle stays in HubSpot
Contracts just work
Contract lifecycle management is HubSpot platform infrastructure, not a feature of the quoting stack, so amendments, prorations and renewals run on the same objects either way.
So there is nothing to trade off here. If you have been weighing contract lifecycle management against stronger quoting, that is not the choice in front of you — you keep both.
Amendments and change orders
Adding seats, swapping a product, extending scope mid-term. The contract stays the record, the change produces a new quote against it, and the amount reflects the remaining term.
What decides the effort is the pricing underneath, not the amendment. A looked-up price carries cleanly. A derived one — cost-plus, margin floor, headcount band, rolled-up total — has to exist in the new quoting stack first. That is a pricing question, and most teams find it late.
Renewals
The contract reaches its date, a renewal quote comes off it, an uplift is applied, the term resets. Products and quantities usually carry forward untouched. Three things do not:
- Uplift rules. A flat percentage is configuration. One that varies by product, customer or elapsed term is pricing logic.
- Co-termination. If you align renewal dates across contracts, confirm how that is handled before committing to a model.
- Ramp deals. These renew from where the ramp ended. If quantity also steps, see the table below.

Yes. HubSpot Contracts supports that lifecycle, and Quotivity works with it. The review that matters is how your current pricing logic, quote rules, and subscription structure map into HubSpot before you migrate.
HubSpot's documentation lists Revenue Hub as a requirement, and that is accurate for the HubSpot UI: working with a contract there goes through HubSpot CPQ, which needs a paid Revenue Hub seat.
Quotivity creates and updates contracts through the API, so the contract lifecycle runs on HubSpot objects regardless of how your seats are allocated. Anyone who needs to open and work contracts in HubSpot directly still needs a seat. Seat mix is worth confirming with your HubSpot rep as part of the business case.
Subscription pricing, ramp periods, bundle behavior, and any multi-dimensional pricing that changes quantity across periods. The lifecycle itself fits; the pricing model underneath it is where the structure can change.
It does not carry in the same shape. Quantity is locked across ramp periods, so a subscription that steps quantity up year over year has to be modeled differently. If you have MDQ with differing quantities, that is the one construct on this page worth looking at before anything else.
