Quoting Audit

Find out what your quoting process actually costs you

Two weeks. A written report with the arithmetic behind every number, and a recommendation you can act on — with or without us.

$2,500 · Two weeks, two 60-minute sessions · $2,000 credited if you implement with us within 90 days

If the answer is that you don’t need our software, that’s what the report will say.

Why the audit isn’t free

Everyone else’s is. That’s the point.

A free assessment is a sales call with a document attached, run by a firm whose only product is the implementation that comes after it. The document has to arrive at that implementation.

You pay for this one, so it can land wherever the numbers land. The report is written to be executed by any competent implementer, including firms we compete with. We’re paid for the finding. What the finding leads to is your business.

You also get a before number

Most teams fixing a quoting process have no baseline. Six months after the fix nobody can say whether it worked, because nobody wrote down what it was like beforehand.

Discount spread, cycle time, rework rate, approval compliance: four numbers, measured off your own quotes and recorded before anything changes, so that when you re-run them next spring you can put a figure on what the work bought and hand that figure to whoever signed off the spend.

The measurement takes an afternoon of ours. It’s the only part of the report with a shelf life.

A measurement gives you what an estimate can’t

Here is the same page from both, side by side.

Ten to fourteen pages, and what’s in them

An analyst-style report, structured around the six warning signs below.

  • Every number carries its arithmetic and its assumptions. You can check our work, and so can anyone you hand it to.
  • A page comparing what you told us against what we found, with the gaps named.
  • A current-state map of how a quote actually gets built at your company today.
  • The findings, ranked by what they cost you, each with its arithmetic. No more than three, so the report stays actionable.
  • What it costs if nothing changes, projected against your growth plan.
  • The capability line — your requirements set against what native HubSpot quoting can and cannot do, cited to HubSpot’s own documentation.
  • The licensing arithmetic at your seat count and tier.
  • A recommendation, unhedged.
  • A sequenced implementation plan any competent implementer could execute.
  • The measured baseline, so the same metrics re-run later tell you whether the fix worked.

The firm writing the report also sells the software

Where native stops is our day job

We build the CPQ that successful HubSpot customers graduate into. We know where native stops because we designed against that line, and we can point at HubSpot’s own documentation for every part of it.

We will tell you to use native

We’ll recommend native HubSpot when it’s the right fit. We also sell CPQ, and the audit may show when buying it makes sense. Native HubSpot remains a valid outcome in every audit, the capability line shows the reasoning either way, and you can hand that section to a second opinion before you spend anything with us.

The report is yours either way

It’s written to be executed by anyone. It will tell you what to fix, and why.

Take it to another partner, or to your own team, and it still works. Nothing in it depends on us being the ones who do the work.

How the two weeks run

Before we start

You send us your quotes

Either send us CSV exports or we can pull the necessary data.

Session 1 · 60 minutes

We walk your process

End to end. Real quotes, the pricing spreadsheets, approvals as they’re actually practiced.

Week one and two

We analyze

Cycle time, discount distribution, rework, shadow quoting, catalog health.

Session 2 · 60 minutes

You get the verdict

The findings, the numbers behind them, the recommendation, and the plan.

Two hours of your time. Two weeks later, you'll have answers.

The six things we look for

These are the warning signs from the playbook. Read them and count.

  1. Sellers give a ballpark before a real quote can be produced. Every negotiation after that is anchored to a number nobody checked.
  2. Reps keep pricing spreadsheets outside the CRM. Two sources of truth, and the wrong one is faster to reach.
  3. Approvals happen in Slack, Teams, or email. No trail, no SLA, no way to tell what got approved by whom.
  4. One person holds the pricing or configuration knowledge. When they’re out, quoting stops.
  5. Margins vary deal to deal with no pattern. Nobody can tell you which deals you’re losing money on.
  6. Every close takes several revision loops. Longer cycles, and each loop is another opening to renegotiate.

What it costs

  • $2,500, paid upfront.
  • Two weeks, from data handover to the second session.
  • If you continue with us, $2,000 is credited against an implementation booked within 90 days.
  • If you don’t, you keep the report, and it works with any implementer.

This is separate from Quotivity’s onboarding fee, which is published on the Quotivity CPQ pricing page along with everything else.

Don’t buy this if

A fit if

  • You quote from spreadsheets, or from anywhere outside your CRM
  • Discounting varies by rep and nobody can say why
  • Approvals happen in chat
  • You’re evaluating CPQ options and want the decision made on numbers
  • You’re leaving Salesforce CPQ
  • You’re on HubSpot and genuinely don’t know whether native covers you
Don’t buy this

Don’t buy this if

  • You send fewer than 20 quotes a year. There isn’t enough data to measure.
  • Your quoting is a single price on a single product. There’s nothing to find.

And one limit of the audit itself. We measure what reaches a quote. If your pricing gets decided in conversations that never produce one, two weeks of reading quotes won’t see it. On the lowest data level — twenty quotes and three interviews — the numbers are a sample, and the report says so wherever it uses them.

Questions people ask before booking

Numbers from customers who’ll say so

These came out of implementations, not audits. They’re the kind of number an audit measures before you start and again after you finish.
