What is guided selling in CPQ?
Guided selling is a branching set of questions a rep answers before building a quote. Each answer narrows what comes next, so the rep ends up with a valid configuration instead of a blank quote and a product list. Reps run a flow to start a quote, then Quotivity builds your quote automatically. Tweak and send! How it Works
Built once. Run on every deal.
An Admin Builds the Flow
Steps, questions, and branching in Quotivity Studio. "If pressure is over 200 psi, route to engineering review, if not, skip it." Question keys are stable references read by the system.
Your Rep Runs it Inside HubSpot
Launched directly from a Deal. A "pizza tracker" tracks required processes and branching down the path. Required answers prevent mistakes before submitting.
Quotivity Magic Begins...
All your rules and price books go to work behind the scenes.
Out Comes a Beautiful, Finished Quote
Your template, approvals, e-signature choices and everything are embedded in the quote and ready to send. The results write back to the deal, too.

It does
- Enforce the questions that have to get asked.
- Filter options down to valid combinations.
- Write answers back as structured HubSpot fields.
- Trigger the right approval path from the answers.
It doesn’t
- Replace your rep’s judgment on price.
- Write the follow-up email.
- Force every deal through a Flow. You pick which are active.
- Live in a separate tab.

Questions teams ask first
Is guided selling the same as a product configurator?
Related, not identical. A configurator handles what can be combined. Guided selling handles which questions get asked, and in what order. Quotivity does both, and they feed each other. The answers from a Flow drive which options the configurator offers.
Does this work with HubSpot's native quoting?
Answers write back to HubSpot’s own records, so discovery lives where your team already works. The Flows themselves are built in Quotivity Studio, and reps run them from the Quotivity card on the deal.
Our reps already know what to ask - why a Flow?
Tenured reps might. Consistency across the whole team is the issue. And what happens when that rep leaves? A Flow documents your best discovery process and enforces it for everyone.
We already have a discovery checklist in a spreadsheet.
That checklist doesn’t connect to your quotes, your deal records, or your approval triggers. Guided Selling captures the same answers and routes them into HubSpot and Quote Rules automatically.
Will reps resist another step before quoting?
The Flow runs inside HubSpot, on the deal record they already work in. It replaces a process they’re doing anyway, just inconsistently. It’s structure, not extra work.
What if a deal is simple and doesn't need discovery?
You control which Flows are active and when they launch. A simple deal type doesn’t have to use one.
When is it available?
Available now, on the Enterprise plan.
