Comparing Salesforce and HubSpot costs for CPQ

Salesforce CPQ costs about $2,880 per user per year once you include the Sales Cloud Enterprise license it requires. Revenue Cloud Advanced is $4,380 per user per year at list when you add the same platform license. The comparison only works if you count the rebuild as well as the license.

By the numbers

Everything below is annual list price per user. Nobody buys quoting software by the month, so the yearly figure is the one that belongs in a business case.

Salesforce CPQ

Salesforce CPQ has never been a standalone license. The add-on is quoted at $900 per user per year, but it sits on top of Sales Cloud Enterprise at $1,980. That is how a $900 line item becomes a $2,880 quoting stack.

Sales Cloud Enterprise   Salesforce CPQ   Total CPQ Stack
$1,980/yr + $900/yr = $2,880/yr

Revenue Cloud

Revenue Cloud Advanced follows the same pattern. The listed Revenue Cloud license is $2,400 per user per year.

Sales Cloud Enterprise   Revenue Cloud   Total CPQ Stack
$1,980/yr + $2,400/yr = $4,380/yr

HubSpot + Revenue Hub

If Revenue Hub (what HubSpot CPQ is part of) is sufficient for you:

Sales Hub Enterprise   Revenue Hub Enterprise   Total CPQ Stack
$1,176/yr + $1,800/yr = $2,976/yr

HubSpot + Quotivity

Quotivity only depends on Sales Hub.

Sales Hub Enterprise
(unbundled)

  Quotivity Enterprise   Total CPQ Stack
$1,800/yr + $1,000/yr = $2,800/yr

Plus: Getting ready for launch

Licensing is the part everyone compares. Also factor in what it costs to get configured and stay configured.

On Salesforce — CPQ or Revenue Cloud — configuration is a consulting engagement. A partner scopes it from a discovery process, quotes it, and bills it. The same is true of native HubSpot CPQ past the basics: it's partner work, priced per project.

Quotivity publishes a number. 85% of our customers pay $10,000 — Salesforce CPQ migration, plus Quotivity training, onboarding, and launch support, fixed. And onboarding usually takes 6-8 weeks. More complex configurations may take longer and cost more — but never more than $20,000.

And don't forget ongoing support

Your pricing will change. You'll add products, restructure a bundle, adjust an approval threshold, rework a template. On every other option on this page, that means going back to a consultant — a retainer if you've planned ahead, an hourly engagement and a queue if you haven't.

With Quotivity, your license includes our support team. Not a retainer, not a support tier you upgrade into, not a block of hours you draw down. You have a question about your configuration, ask us.

Revenue Cloud Advanced Consultant retainer or hourly

The rebuild belongs in the comparison

Whichever path you choose, the quoting model gets rebuilt. Moving to Revenue Cloud Advanced means rebuilding price rules as Pricing Procedures, product rules as Constraints, and quote templates in OmniStudio. There is no conversion tool that moves Salesforce CPQ into that model for you.

  • Standing still is the only path that avoids a rebuild.
  • Moving to Revenue Cloud Advanced still incurs a reimplementation.
  • Moving to HubSpot and Quotivity also incurs a rebuild, but the scope is configuration rather than code.

The best place to start your scoping for the migration is the CPQ migration analysis tool. It's free, open-source, and doesn't require separate access to your org.

Revenue Cloud Advanced

A Salesforce SI usually scopes the reimplementation through a discovery engagement. You learn the number after weeks of workshops, then review a proposal built around the future-state model.

HubSpot plus Quotivity

Our side is scoped from the analysis. Product count, rule count, bundle depth, and custom scripting surface tell you how much quoting logic you are carrying before anyone gives you a migration number.

Why that matters

The rebuild is not a cost of leaving Salesforce. It is a cost of changing the quoting model at all. The comparison gets clearer once you put the rebuild next to the recurring license number instead of hiding it behind platform language.

Published price

$10,000 for 85% of migrations

More complex configurations cost more, and never more than $20,000. Quotivity onboarding is included rather than priced as a separate implementation fee.

What moves you above it

Count the real surface area

Product count, rule count, bundle nesting depth, and custom scripts are what push a migration past the standard number. Those are the parts of the quoting workflow that have to be rebuilt.

How we scope it

Quote from the analysis

Run the free analysis and we scope from what is actually in your org. That gives finance a number tied to the configuration you have, not to a discovery call summary.

What to ask for

Get the second number too

Ask your Salesforce partner what a Revenue Cloud Advanced reimplementation would cost for your org. Put that number beside the license delta and the Quotivity migration price. That is the full comparison.

The rebuild happens once. The license delta compounds every year, which is why a three-year comparison is more useful than a one-year one.

Use this structure with your own numbers

  • Start with the platform plus CPQ license, not the add-on alone.
  • Add the one-time rebuild cost on every path except standing still.
  • Use your negotiated rate if you have one.
  • Run a three-year view so the recurring difference compounds correctly.
Reality check

What not to assume

  • Do not compare Salesforce CPQ at $75 to HubSpot without adding the Salesforce platform cost underneath it.
  • Do not treat Revenue Cloud Advanced as a clean migration path that avoids reimplementation.
  • Do not use a one-year comparison as the whole answer when the license gap repeats every year.

Use your own numbers, then compare the full stack

The comparison only works when you count your CPQ-licensed seat total, your negotiated rate, and what you would actually rebuild. That is what finance needs in front of it.
